World Alliance for Innovation (WAINOVA)
The World Alliance for Innovation (WAINOVA) was created in 2005 and brings together 26 of the major Science/Technology/Research Park and Business Incubator associations throughout the world creating a network of networks. Its mission is to contribute to the world's economic and social development by promoting innovation, technology transfer and the establishment of innovation-based companies.
Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI)
The Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI) promotes business incubation activities by facilitating information exchanges among Asian incubators, incubator clients and related organizations. Ultimately, this contributes to increased economic activity in Asia. AABI comprises associations that organize incubation resources and facilities, organizations operating incubation programs, and more, located in Beijing(China), Shanghai(China), Hong Kong(China), Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippine, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam totally covers 18 nations and regions.
Science Park and Innovation Center Experts (SPICE)
SPICE Group is a global network representing 41 countries including 27 national and international associations of innovation centers. It combines professional experience from innovation centers (technology / science parks, business incubators) as well as industry, banks, venture capital, economic development agencies, law firms, business consultants and governmental institutions. It also secures the best possible cooperation between all partners—in the private and the public sector—to promote entrepreneurship, innovation as well as economic and social development. SPICE Group is to work based on mutual personal trust, free of political and institutional influence in an open, creative atmosphere.
International Association of Science Parks (IASP)
The International Association of Science Parks (IASP) is a NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Its mission is to be the worldwide network for Science and Technology Parks, and to drive growth, internationalization and effectiveness for our members.
infoDev is a global partnership program within the World Bank Group which works at the intersection of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship to create opportunities for inclusive growth, job creation and poverty reduction. infoDev assists governments and technology-focused small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to grow jobs, improve capacity and skills, increase access to finance and markets, ensure the appropriate enabling policy and regulatory environment for business to flourish, and test out innovative solutions in developing country markets. We do this in partnership with other development programs, with World Bank/IFC colleagues, and with stakeholders from the public, private and civil society sectors in the developing world.
Asia Pacific Incubation Network (APIN)
The Asia Pacific Incubation Network (APIN) was established with energy and commitment from leading incubator managers in the region and with support from the World Bank's infoDev Program and the Department of Science and Technology in India. Its purpose is to help promote, support and develop quality business incubation in the region, developing management and policy capacities, sharing experiences and complementing the work of the Asian Association of Business Incubators (AABI), with whom a formal Memorandum of Understanding has been signed. The network is owned and driven by incubator managers, giving incubation professionals their own vehicle to learn from each other, undertake practical activities and to advocate for policy and other improvements.
